2011-02-12 7:07 PM Good Visit, (but too short) Read/Post Comments (5) |
Honorary son got himself a good night's sleep, then headed on in to New Orleans before lunch. He came down to run a half marathon in the Mardi Gras Marathon on Sunday.
We talked and talked--a lot to catch up on. And I was really impressed by his car sound system. He tells it (verbally) what to play, and it does. The car is a Ford hybrid and runs really smoothly and quietly. I didn't ask him about mileage, but that's generally a consideration. All in all, a good visit, and a very nice break in my "routine." He's a good guest--the futon is folded back up, and everything back to where it was. So today was definitely on the quiet side. There were plenty of things I could have been doing but didn't. Unfortunately, those things seldom go away. But--the break in routine has discombobulated my sense of time to give me an extra day in the week. Now I am anxiously awaiting arrival of YD's latest book, which is supposedly (based on Amazon's info page) coming out any day. I have two or three copies from various booksellers on pre-order. Weather today was gorgeous--the furnace didn't cycle on after once at wake-up time. I shall be going to the sports section first on Monday to see where honorary son placed.
