I gave a little thought to going in to work today, but then a cat settled on me and I was back in the catnip fields.

I shall go in tomorrow, however.

We are currently having a warmish period, which is really nice. It makes me stop and think for two nanoseconds (instead of the usual one) about yard work.

So it should come as no surprise that today was a bit of this, a bit of that.

Day after tomorrow is the luncheon at the university president's house. As I said before, I have never been to a "society" function. I sure I shall be underdressed--and probably underjeweled.

If someone doesn't like it--tough.

At the least, it sould be interesting, and this will probably be the first time I have ever been in a home that cost many times more than mine.

As I said, today was definitely an IUD--at least so far.
