Most of today was spent at home, until I thought of things I needed from WalMart.

Critter food, of course.

And some stuff for me--just the usual quick foods from the "frozens" section.

I had just made it home when the sprinkles started. It didn't last long, thank goodness.

The news, of course, is filled with Carnival news and weather forecasts.

On the political front, some big business dude is talking about making a BIG contribution to a favorite charity of the governor's wife.

Should it be refused, or not? It would not be acceptable under the "guidelines" if it was a favorite charity of the governor.

Jindal (the current governor) is brilliant and no doubt wants to become President. However, he is more than a bit too "conservative" for my tastes.

Isn't it amazing the the United States has managed to muddle along quite successfully (on the whole) in spite of "special interests?"

I am now ready to take off a certain undergarment and try to stay awake till about 10 or so--maybe till after the 10 PM news.
