That was my short trip to WalMart this afternoon.
Main goal was more snackies for the cats. I realized I'd forgotten those halfway home. What to do about it? Well, NOT back to the big W. Instead, I went to the small W (Walgreen's) and got enough to last a couple of days. Other than that, it's been a quiet, uneventful day. Weather is getting springier and springier. Maybe tomorrow I'll get a bit of yard work done. I think the forecast is for decent weather--although forecasts are always subject to unannounced changes. This afternoon after I'd fed the cats I took a bag of cat chow out on the porch to use for the critters. Boy those raccoons are smart--I think it must have been in the nearby woodsy part, because at the rattle he(?) poked his head through the hole in the screen and looked at me. I said "hello" and told him(?) it was just about ready for the forest friends. He pulled his head back so it was outside the porch, and waited till I'd served up the meal and gone back inside before returning for his supper. I'm sure the others that like this cafeteria have been by and eaten. I even tossed out the cheap dog biscuits (the possums and the raccoons like those) earlier than usual. They and the cats seem to get along fine. They keep a good distance from each other, and the critters wait till the cats are done before eating. Since the TV available is mostly boring dreck I'll probably read a mind candy novel this evening. Is that an IUD or isn't it? (Well, okay--critters don't usually come up on the porch and poke their heads in before I'm done serving, but appropriate distances were kept.)
