Not really--it just needed a new ink cartridge, which I had on hand.
I carefully took out the old one, then put the new one in with a reverse action. It didn't work at first, but then it began printing just fine. Thank goodness. I was reading the Sunday paper on the front porch this morning, and kept noticing the tears in the screen. Said tears are "conveniently" located near the hook and the latch on the door. YD acknowledged putting them there some time ago, but lately they have been getting larger. And several bits of important paperwork have disappeared from inside the house. So I called the cops to chat about the situation. Two officers responded, and they connected the name with a certain former cop to whom I am closely related. We discussed the situation and they said they'd sort of keep an eye on things. Unfortunately (for me) my next door neighbors both work day shifts, or they'd be telling me about anyone going in and out of the house. Later in the afternoon I made a VERY brief trip to WalMart--for what else but critter food. And I got bawled out by a raccoon for not having the raccoon biscuits out earlier. Sorry, but sometimes Life intrudes and they have to wait a bit to eat. I'm starting to cut back on the goodies so that they find a variety of ways to get food. Whatever happens, I'm quite sure that next year there will be another raccoon family and another possum family. So--another IUD. (And I will ask no questions if the paperwork magically reappears, but will chalk it up to "senility.") Read/Post Comments (6) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
