The "earlier" entry was really a yesterday one--except that I was writing it in the wee small hours of today.

So this is the "real" one for 7/1.

I did indeed get all the inventories typed up and e-mailed to the archivist. It's quite a while since I last attached a file to a note, but via trial and error I figured it out. The archivist now has to dig up my next "project," but she's quite efficient at that.

It's definitely getting summery, especially temperature-wise. Even though I was home most of the day, I didn't break a sweat, thanks to natural breezes outside and an efficient fan inside. And I don't think I'll have any trouble getting to sleep tonight. I'll probably stay up till about midnight since I don't have a need to wake up at the crack of dawn--which is the cse when I'm going in to Tulane and need to get there very early to get a good parking spot.

The young raccoons are still coming for food every afternoon. They've learned the "rules" about eating on the front porch. NO FIGHTING! is the main rule. So far, in the last couple of years since they've been coming, they haven't tried to mess with the cats. I guess they understand that they are eating with the permission of the cats.

They are cautious when I happen to be on the porch, but not aggressive in any way, shape, or form. I talk to them in normal tones.

Today was a quiet (boring) one--pretty much the norm around here.

I had a bunch of stuff to get at WalMart and did that in the early morning. The Bloodmobile was scheduled to be there most of the day, and I wanted to be done before they got there. Donors today got either a $10 or $25 WalMart gift certificate. How's that for incentive.

I'll probably be getting a call from the Blood Center any day wanting my platelets. I think donors at the regular place get a g.c for a pint of ice cream.
