That's as good a description of today that I can come up with.
Weather is hot, but not miserably hot. Having the fan going in the den does the trick, although the wet hand towel behind the neck and over the shoulders also feels good. It was a blah day--I think the only only humans I spoke to were at Burger King. (Their grilled chicken sandwich and Hershey's chocolate ice cream pie make a great meal.) My supper-time raccoon was waiting for me--and I think it's a she. It looked like rather prominent titties for a male. How's that for the excitement of the day!! The cats have found their cool places outside. There's enough woods left on my lot and the ones on my east that there's no shortage of cool spots from which to guard the house. Barring something unforeseen, I'm going in to work tomorrow. The archivist brought me another cartload of storage boxes on Friday. It will be interesting to see what they are about. I think it's more of the same--Newcomb activities, correspondence, etc. As y'all are well aware, tonight's TV news has a lot about the visit of the British Royals to the U.S. Now is the time for them to enjoy themselves, before the prince gets involved in whatever duties he will be expected to fulfill. Chalk this up as definitely an IUD. Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
