I gave thought to returning to work today, but then realized I had too many stupid little things needing doing.
So it was an "at-home" day for me. Not that I stayed at home--by Monday I have remembered what I forgot to get on the end of the week "big" shopping, so WalMart was on the agenda. I'm a little annoyed at them. The last time I was in there they were preparing for Inventory. I guess that got done, but now they have a lot of shelves really needing merchandise on them. For example: The pet food section doesn't have their house brands back on the shelves! I could better understand if it was the name brands, but to run out of house brands? I got some food for the cats, but not enough for a week, or for change in "flavor" on a more or less daily basis. If I get sufficiently bored I may even write them a letter about this. Fortunately, the "associates" were their usual pleasant selves and sympathized with me about the post-inventory mess. Barring something unforeseen, I'll be back at work at Newcomb tomorrow. Just in time, too--temps in the 90s are back in the weather forecast. The assorted critters seem content with the food I put out, and I don't see or hear any signs of scrapping at the food dishes. Once again, an IUD. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
