It was raining and thundering a bit last night, but I woke up to a bright clear fall morning.
Then I turned on the TV. Oh my but I feel lucky. They were showing a clip about a woman whose house was struck by a tornado--while she was in it. (In the New Orleans area.) Needless to say, the house is a mess of several pieces. And she made it through with a humongous scare, but essentially no physical injuries. As for my yard--there are a couple of tons (more or less) of leaves down, but most of those are under trees, where I generally leave them to ultimately enrich the soil. (They also make great cat beds.) I hadn't planned on going in to work this morning, so I didn't have to make that decision. Back to the idiot box to see what else the storm did.
