Preprandial: of, relating to, or suitable for the time just before dinner.

I guess that fits today. YD and hubby (and granddaughter) invited me for dinner.

We all ate at a nice restaurant with resonably sized portions. And the best part was getting better acquainted with granddaughter and son-in-law.

A very nice way to spend the better part of a day.

And then it was home again, home again. (They live in the next town up the road.)


My neighbor stopped by for a few minutes and we caught each other up on personal and neighborhood doings. That did not take long at all--the neighborhood is, for the most part, very calm and orderly.

The dinner out really filled me up--probably I'll have a bit of soup later in the evening and that will be it for today.

I guess tomorrow I'll do this and that around the house and yard, and then head back to Newcomb when they reopen next week.
