Sunday, and my body cooperated with waking up in time to get to church.

Needless to say, there was not an overwhelming crowd, but that came as no surprise.

We have been without a full-time minister since Katrina, and we share clergy with the two UU congregations in New Orleans.

We also have taped (or otherwise recorded) "sermons".

They are usually quite interesting.

Today, however, the people "moderating" the sermon couldn't seem to get it to respond. It was supposed to "show" on the computer link to a large TV screen.

Result: EXTREMELY brief sermon.

That left more time for the post-service coffee and conversation.

An advantage to living in the Deep South: Even in the winter socializing time generally spills over into the very attractive garden area.

(It's beside the point that in the summer not all that many people want to be out in the hot garden.)

Once I got home I managed a short "sinking spell."

And, as you may conclude, it's been a run-of-the-mill U.D.
