About mid-afternoon a car pulled up in my driveway and two women I didn't recognize got out.

They were carrying some stuff, and said they'd gotten my name from the Unitarians, and would I like a home-cooked meal.

They're starting a meal delivery business and were giving out samples--to singles, I guess.

Needless to say I thanked them profusely.

The meal was very good, and there was enough on the platter for at least one more meal.

I'll call the church office tomorrow to get more information.

Other than that, it was an IUD. And the weather was a bit on the gray side.

Yesterday I e-mailed the inventory lists I'd completed to the archivist. I still have several more to do, so I guess that will be tomorrow's big project.

Mardi Gras parades are slowly beginning to roll. The barricades and reviewing stands are up in Slidell, and tomorrow's local paper (they don't publish on Mondays) will have all sorts of pictures etc.

When I finally get around to going in to Newcomb I'll see a lot more parade evidence in the city.

Another IUD--except for the dinner!

(And I just realized that I didn't get a local paper today--and I can't recall if did yesterday either. Must go check that now.)
