Mardi Gras ended at midnight.

The police made the usual announcements about that, and (as usual) the thousands of people in the French Quarter area (and others nearby) heard the message over the loudspeakers and headed home.

There are always a few who don't

But even there the numbers were down. They are non-locals for the most part, and they get to be "guests of the city" while they get rid of their hangovers. They, of course, have to pay for that "privilege."

I think I stayed up till just after midnight, then had a good night's sleep.

And today was a quiet one.

I haven't caught up on the work I brought home over a week ago, so I'll be busy with that tomorrow. I have set a goal of Friday for going in to work, but I may not make it. I still have several little things I would like to get out of the way before settling back into a more structured work routine.

So, another IUD is about over.
