I finally found the right page in the IRS online file.

That is a major relief.

I've filed for an extension before, and it's really no big deal.

I shall send a check with it, carefully calculated to be an overpayment.

But at least I found the page.

I don't know what I'd put in before, but it was obviously not the magic words.




(I am still appalled that the post office no longer has tax return stuff.)
