I almost didn't even go anywhere in the car, but the cat/critter food level was getting low.
I think the young raccoons are busy in the adjacent woods looking to establish territories of their own. And sources of food other than from the crazy human. I think I mentioned the young raccoon that made its way all the way inside the house and towards the back end. I spotted it sitting (or something) in the cat box in the main bathroom. I don't know if it was using the cat box for something other than a seat, but nothing would surpise me. Raccoons are noted for being clean and tidy. I decided not to press the issue, and a while later it had gone back outside. I haven't had any others go exploring inside--I would imagine that the possibility of getting trapped is a young raccoon concern. At the moment, we're still getting a daily paper. I don't recall seeing a specific date for when it will go to just three days a week. I need to dig out my checkbook to see when (and how much) I paid the last time my carrier sent a bill. I've gotten to where I pay for a lot of time, rather than mess with monthly bills. And I expect to get those prepaid issues, even though it will take longer for a not-daily to deliver the total number I paid for. Time now, though, to settle in for the night. I wonder how many other papers will follow the lead of the Times-Picayune. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
