Each time I look over at my word-a-day calendar I am surprised to see that it's Monday already.

I guess most of last week was so unremarkable that that it just sort of melted into one day, rather than several.

Well, let's see what happens this coming week.

First, I will be going in to Newcomb by the middle of the week. I've got some stuff together and want to get back to what I was doing before the holidays and everything else.

That will give me a time structure that's been missing for the last month or so.

So what has today been like?

Another IUD. I did a little bit of shopping at WalMart, but have also been been busy tidying and organizing family paperwork that's been piling up on the dining room table.

Weatherwise, it's been nice. I'm using a fan in the den for more and more of the day now, and that's keeping it nice and comfortable.

The young raccoons have learned when supper is ready to be served, and are waiting anxiously for it to appear. They've also learned that it will appear, once I have put the cat food out.

They seem to have figured out what a stern NO means when they are a bit overanxious for the food. Probably my body language also says "It's coming--hold your horses."

As I said--another IUD.
