Had a case of the whoozies today. I'm not sure what it is, but it knocked me silly.

I knocked off work at appx 6PM (PDT) and was on the road by 6:30. My commute home is 20 minutes by bike (damn heart monitor) as fast as I'm allowed to go. Today, my bike was allowed by the laws of physics to go much slower. I popped a spoke on my rear wheel monday, but things at work have been such a PitA that I didn't have a chance to fix it.

When you ride a bike with a missing spoke, it causes the other spokes in the wheel to have unbalanced tension, so the other spokes will soon loosen. That's what happened all this week. Then again, I had more than enough tension to make up for it.

Almost all the way home, I suddenly felt a headache, sleepy, and hard to concentrate. I was a little hungry, but not ravenous. And I have been ravenous before and not felt this woozy.

I was talking with a friend on phone, so I wasn't in danger of falling over and not being found until morning. I didn't say anything at the time for fear of causing needless worry. Needless because I knew once I got home, I'd eat and it'd be better.

Got home and ate and it got better. Kitten was having a full-on tantrum. She failed to hand in two assignments so SpouseKitty had to ride herd on her to get them done. Mother-in-law was blasting the TV for Tivo'd news shows. The noise got to me, but I had to help SpouseKitty try to get Kitten to do the right thing.

Once that was over, they turned in, and I turned off the TV. Merciful quiet. I pulled out the sofabed and went to sleep. At 8:30. Woke up at 10:30, poked around and helped SpouseKitty a bit. Sleepy, tired still. Off to bed after this, but that's my explanation for not following up on my promises and assignments.
