I think I am superstitious.

I have a red ribbon in a glass of sugar that I keep under the sink in my kitchen so that it will keep bad spirits away and keep my house sweet and happy.

I have a red ribbon in the wall of my foundation on the side of the house with the bad neighbor to keep his negative karma away.

So you can understand the new supersition about Dominic's Carolina Hurricane's sweatshirt. Each time he wears it, the Canes win. If he doesn't have it on, they lose.

Two night ago, he fell aslee before the game and was NOT wearing the shirt. My brother called me that the Canes were losing 2-0, and I had better get the shirt on the kid ASAP. Since the baby was sleeing, I laid the sweatshirt on him like a blanket. In the next 10 minutes, the Canes tied it up. When the baby woke up, I put the shirt on him, and they won 5-2, and even had a hat trick.

Then, just last night, I forgot to put it on him and the Canes were down by three. Once I put it on him, they came back to win - in OT on a shoot out.

So, the poor kid will have to keep this sweatshirt for a long time, even after he outgrows it.
