I'm delighted to inform that I can now put on my resume that I'm proficient in clothing inspection and packaging. I asked the company if I could spend time working at each different level of the factory. So I'm spending 3 hours each day for the next month working on the clothing development process. The first day was spent inspecting the clothes; checking that they had no oil marks, loose threads, the clothes were measured correctly, etc. This was incredibly boring because I didn't get to do anything, I spent 3 hours watching people look at clothes.

Needless to say I was happy to get home because Jack took me to an international market and I got ingredients to make fettucini alfredo. The family I'm staying with was shocked that I could cook and I was glad to have the opportunity to eat some not Chinese food, it does get old after a while. And after a thorough search of the store I even found breakfast foods (last week Jack brought home "bacon and sausage" which consisted of something similar to bacon and hot dogs)(And their coffee here is some sort of weird instant coffee mocha mix. All this together does not make for a pleasant morning). Anyways, I found English tea, shortbread, cereal, and milk (to my surprise a beverage most Chinese do not own).

The only news I have to report from today is that I helped work in the packaging area of the factory today. This was much better than inspecting because they actually let me work. I folded clothes, put tags on them, and packaged them into their bags. Although this proved very tedious, I enjoyed it because it allowed me to do something different and gave me the opportunity to just get lost in my own thoughts.
