Layout is nearly done. Just waiting on a final piece of art, and Heather's editorial. We'll take it to be printed this weekend, or next week.

Assuming we can find a printer. We had #1 printed at a place in Nashville that had great prices, but they gave us two seriously screwed-up proofs, and cut about a dozen issues so crookedly that we can't sell them (we might leave them lying around on a train or something at some point). Since they kept screwing up the proofs, it took them three weeks to do a job that should've only taken them three days, and in order to get our copies in time for World Fantasy last year, they had to be shipped at an expedited rate. Which made the shipping cost as much as the cost for printing! So we're looking for a more local printer, to save on shipping costs, at least; we hope it will work out to being ultimately a bit cheaper. We might end up going to one of the many copy shops in Berkeley. We've done chapbooks with one of them, and they do fast, good work, but it's not as cheap as we'd like. Anybody have suggestions for a good, inexpensive printer in the East Bay (or San Francisco, if necessary)?
