2004-11-11 11:42 AM Incroyable! Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (16) We saw The Incredibles at Grand Lake last night, and I loved it. Good writing, good characters, great art deco/retro pulp/gernsback continuum design sense. Pixar rocks. Though the preview for their upcoming Cars looks abysmal, so that may spell the end of their unbroken run of good movies. Otherwise, life has been quiet. We've been playing a lot of Fable (one of us plays, the other watches). That game is a welcome break from the harsh reality of peasant life! I've been doing outlines of stories, all the ideas that have been piling up since I've been working on novels. After I finish Rangergirl revisions (probably shortly after Thanksgiving), I want to do a big crazy story-writing festival, maybe spend all of December writing stories. It's an exciting prospect. Then I can do Blood Engines revisions in January, and get back into the Bridge novel in February... Plenty of work to do. I like having lots of writing to do, especially when it's gray and rainy like it's been lately. And after seeing The Incredibles, I want to write about superheroes more. Who'd like to read a novel set in the world of my story "Captain Fantasy and the Secret Masters"? Show of hands? Read/Post Comments (16) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
