2006-01-25 9:10 AM Isn't It Romantic? Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (7) Well, well, well. Several little birds let me know by e-mail that The Strange Adventures of Rangergirl has been nominated for the Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award in the Best Modern Fantasy category. (Complete list of nominees on this page; my category is down at the bottom.) Alas, I won't be able to make it to the convention where the awards are presented (it overlaps with Blue Heaven). Still, wish me luck! Cat Eldridge of the Green Man Review kindly sent me a link to his review of Rangergirl -- go read it here. It's very positive. He also told me he's naming Rangergirl as his pick for the Very Best Novel of 2005 in his year-in-review, which will be up this weekend. Good news all around. It's my once-fortnightly day off, and I'm going to work on the Bridge novel. I don't expect to have a writing day of JayLakeian Proportions, but I expect to get a fair bit done. Wish me luck in that, as well. I congratulate Jay on his crazy-productive day, by the way. My own best-writing-day-record is 15,000 words, and that was a few years ago, in the bloom of my youth, etc. I certainly couldn't be that productive on a day when I had to travel, etc. Color me impressed.
