It's not exactly work, but I've been messing around a bit with wikidPad, a free desktop wiki. Since I'm doing at least a couple of novels featuring Marla Mason and hope to do many more, I thought it might be a good idea to have all my details about her, her allies, her enemies, her world, etc. in some form more elegant than a folder full of loose-leaf notes.

The wiki is pretty sweet, and I enjoy getting everything all linked-up and cross-referenced. It's not too hard to keep track of things at this point, but if I wind up writing lots of books in this series, I'm going to be very glad I put in the time to create such a resource early on. It'll spare me having to hire a research assistant to write a concordance for me in ten years. I hope.

I think the Marlaverse is a nice big sandbox I could have a lot of fun in for years to come.
