I haven't been linking to every review I come across -- the novel's been out for over eight months, so I figured I'd ease up -- but this one amuses me more than usual because she wonders if "Tim Pratt" is a pseudonym, and it pleases me more than usual because she compares me to Tim Powers, who was, of course, one of my Clarion instructors, and is a writer I admire tremendously. My day off was quite productive, in its way. Greg's chapbook is done, done, done, and off to the printer. The employee who helped us at the copy shop was quite young, and we'd never seen him there before, and the price he quoted us was crazy cheap, so we'll see how it works out -- either they're having a sale, or he made a mistake, or every other time we've been there we've gotten screwed, I dunno. We pick it up in a few days, so pre-orders may get mailed out before Worldcon. Otherwise, I washed the car, lugged out several sacks of recycling, and baked some snickerdoodles. Mmm, snickerdoodles. Most of them are going away as a gift, but Heather and I ate some, and she was astonished at my baking skills (I've never baked for her before). Nice to know I can still surprise my wife after five years of living together! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
