My story "From Around Here" has been accepted for Logorrhea: Good Words Make Good Stories, an original anthology edited by John Klima for Bantam. It's a novelette (around 8500 words if I recall), and I think I do my best work at novelette length. I think this is a good one. The story was inspired by the word "autochthonous" (which means "native" or "originating where it is found"), and I even managed to work the word into the story pretty naturally. Also got word that my story "Little Gods" will be translated into French for the magazine Faeries. They pay in Euros. Hurray for the weak dollar! Worldcon is approaching fast. I don't have too much to do -- a meeting on Friday afternoon, some parties we want to attend, a signing at the Asimov's table on Saturday from 5 to 6. Mostly I'll be wandering around talking to people, buying books, having drinks, etc. Should be great fun. Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
