I'll be appearing at Borderlands on Sunday at 3 p.m. to go rah-rah-rah for Twenty Epics, with editor Susan Marie Groppi and fellow contributor Marcus Ewert. Maybe we'll read? Certainly we'll talk and sign things. It'll be fun! You should all come. And buy things.

I woke up this morning feeling less ennui-filled. I think getting enough sleep last night helped, and taking a long walk with Heather yesterday evening helped, and eating a healthy dinner (salad with avocado!) helped. I even managed to write a bit on my lunch break yesterday! In all, consciousness seems less of a burden today. (Though I still wish I'd taken today off, of course.)

Heather and I are also far happier than we would have been otherwise, thanks to the kindness of Jenn Reese! Jenn saw my entry yesterday complaining about how we're too poor to have a proper anniversary celebration, and decided her wedding gift to us would be some cash for just such a celebration! It is very much an awesome gift. Last night Heather and I were poking around online, looking at bed-and-breakfasts and such in Sonoma County, though with such short notice I'm not sure we'll be able to get reservations anywhere. But we'll do something fun and romantic and cool, thanks to Jenn. Whee!
