And, poof, the first draft of Dead Reign, the third Marla Mason novel, is done. It's almost exactly 85,000 words. Now, it's drafty, and has some wobbly bits and sketchy bits and probably even some dodgy bits, but it's all there on the page to be fiddled with. Mmm. Nice.

The day was nice otherwise, too. We ate lunch from Barney's, and ordered a fancy crib (to be delivered in a few months, natch), and went to see Pirates of the Caribbean. All good things. Finishing my novel is a lovely end to the day.
