Fun dirty puppet show with some good songs, and it's a beautiful theater. Alas, we were up in the balcony -- not the worst seats in the house, but not far away from the worst seats in the house, if you see what I mean. It was still enjoyable. The Bad Idea Bears are awesome. Seeing live theater seemed like a smart thing to do, since once the baby arrives, we probably won't be going out to dinner and a show too often... beforehand we had dinner at the Market Street Grill, chosen mainly for its advantageous location right across the street from the theater, but it turned out to be very tasty, especially the clam chowder. Yum. Our train home pulled in the instant we hit the platform at the station -- that never happens! -- which was an extra treat, and we were in our house before 11 p.m. I was hoping to meet William Gibson yesterday -- he came up to the office for an interview -- but he was running later than expected, and I had to leave early to get to the city in time for dinner, so I missed him. Oh, well. I wouldn't have said much to him besides "Spook Country was great!" anyway. (Spook Country is great, if I haven't mentioned that.) I'm glad the weekend is upon us. Apart from our childbirth class tomorrow and vague plans to catch a matinee of Stardust, I don't have anything on my agenda besides typing in more changes to Dead Reign. And drinking beer. Possibly simultaneously. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
