Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (0) My alternate universe video store story "Impossible Dreams" will appear in a future issue of leading Russian SF magazine Esli. I think it's the first time I've been translated into Russian. (I should really keep a record somewhere of languages I've been translated into... Offhand I recall Spanish, French, Korean, Dutch, Japanese, and Czech translations.) The famously prolific reviewer Harriet Klausner has reviewed Blood Engines. There are a few spoilers (and also a few things that aren't exactly accurate; disinformational spoilers!). Some... interesting... alphabetical drift in the names, too -- my character Susan Wellstone becomes "Susan Wellorslore" and Mutex is, at one point in the review, renamed "Muller." Some drama yesterday, as Heather got a headache that wouldn't go away, and went to labor and delivery triage to make sure it was nothing serious. She recounts the adventure here, but the upshot is: it was just a bad headache, baby is fine. They gave her Vicodin, which helped the pain but later made her pukesy. Poor thing! She woke up today ravenous (from not eating properly yesterday, what with the ordeal and all), but otherwise okay. I missed half the day at work, but should be able to catch up today without killing myself, I think. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
