Writing-related stuff continues, even though I'm doing very little in the way of creating new content. I got a check yesterday for a Russian reprint of "Impossible Dreams" in Esli magazine. Received an e-mail this morning from Mike Ashley telling me he'd like to reprint "Cup and Table" in The Mammoth Book of Extreme Fantasy (I think it's my best story of recent years, so I'm glad it's getting reprinted again.) There's a review of Blood Engines at SF Site. And etc.

I keep thinking I should do some writing, but I'm too easily distracted. It's all I can do to read. Yesterday I read Top Ten: The Forty-Niners, which was pretty good, and the latest Fables collection, "Sons of Empire," which was also good -- I loved the handling of Santa Claus (how does he visit every house on Earth in one night? He runs billions of instances of himself in parallel!), and Hansel as a zealous Witchfinder General was an inspired touch. Also picked up a copy of Year's Best Fantasy 7 by Hartwell & Cramer, which looks like it has some good stories not reprinted elsewhere.

Otherwise.... We're just waiting for baby. More as it develops.
