I finished revisions of my YA sample chapters and sent 'em off to my agent. I think they're much stronger now -- we'll see if she wants any further tweaks.

I now find myself in the odd position of having no book-related projects before me. It's strange! I'm doing an article for the new SpectraPulse magazine my publisher started recently, and just today got invited to submit a story to a cool project, but beyond that, my decks are clear. (So if you want a story from me for your anthology, now is the time to ask me -- I can actually say yes to things at the moment!) I have several short story ideas, and may try to tackle one or two of them, but the idea of just not working for a few days is kind of appealing as well.

In happy news, Chris Barzak, talented writer and all around awesome guy, has been nominated for the first ever NewNowNext Awards, sponsored by MTV Network's LOGO channel, which focuses on bringing GLBT friendly programming to television. He's nominated in the "Brink of Fame: Author" category for his fantastic novel One for Sorrow. You can go vote for him here!. (And if you've read the book, you know you should vote for him. If you haven't read it, why the hell not? Go read it!)
