2003-03-04 10:31 PM I feel like a computer genuis today Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (0) because I figured out how to fix my computer when one of the driver files on the port enumerator (no, I'm not exactly sure what that is) became corrupted. I did have a lot of help from my brother Alex -- thank God for computer science majors -- but the final diagnosis and solution came straight from my humble little English major head.
Since Friday I have been employing my new strategy of being willfully cheerful. In other words, I'm not letting myself get frustrated by the fact that it was 20 degrees on Monday or that my computer modem wasn't working for three days -- that was a very good test case. Actually to maintain the cheerfulness on Sunday when everything I was trying on my computer was failing I went shopping. I went to New York and Co., which in OK we call Lerner's, and they were having a really good sale so I bought some new jeans, a new sweater, and two new shirts. After all, what better way to enjoy cold weather than with a new sweater? Anyway, maybe it's my new strategy or maybe it's just that Spring Break and my birthday are less than two weeks away, but I have been feeling much less dreary.
