... Twister and Silkwood were both showing simultaneously. I ended up choosing Twister because my headache was instantly aggravated by Cher's overdone attempt at an Oklahoma accent in the first scene of Silkwood.

A word of advice to the next Hollywood producer who sets a movie in Oklahoma -- don't let your actors attempt Oklahoma accents, PLEASE! They all end up sounding like Texas drawls anyway, and your audiences' ears will be much happier. Incidentally, Oklahoma is not made up entirely of farms, highways, and towns of less than 5,000 people, either. There are actual metropolitan areas with non-agricultural businesses. OK, so it isn't a HUGE percentage of the state, but it does exist.
