but it was warm (for November) so not totally awful. Joan (my workshop prof) said she thought the story I have been working on is done. This is very gratifying, since I was about ready to completely trash it last week, but decided to follow Joan's advice and do one more draft. Speaking of "done," I have also finished the initial draft of this pain in the you-know-what section of my thesis that I have been trying to write since the summer. Now I just have to type it up so I can email it to Lucy before break...

OK, well maybe nothing really interesting happened today aside from my story being done. I went to work, I went to workshop, I went to a reading, I came home. But what the hey, I'm a writer; if my writing is going well, life is good. Even though it's still raining.
