Just because you don't believe it, doesn't mean I didn't mean it. 277497 Curiosities served |
2004-02-26 7:53 PM I went back and retook that book quiz Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (0) I linked to yesterday because there was one question where I was torn about what to answer. The question was "Do you like Oprah?"
The first time I answered "yes," because I don't really have a problem with Oprah and I used to look forward to reading the new "O" every month when I was stuck in that dead-end office manager job a couple years ago. Granted, almost anything that relieved the boredom made me happy then. A patient brought us a box of chocolates once and I was giddy for a week. Anyway, the answer was, as you can see a couple entries down, Gabriel Garcia Marquez's One Hundred Years of Solitude. So this time I answered "no," because it's not like I watch Oprah, in fact, I usually will watch anything but Oprah, and now that I'm out of that horrid job I don't really care about "O" anymore. Oddly enough, the answer was another Gabriel Garcia Marquez book, Love in the Time of Cholera. (The personality profile, however, had even less to do with me than the first one.) Moral: Despite my ambivalence about Oprah, some facet of my personality relates to Gabriel Garcia Marquez. But it must be a subtle facet.
