Well the weather got cold, the heat’s on in my apartment, and the White Sox have won the World Series (I want bonus points for having the World Series MVP on my fantasy team). So let’s have a football post. Unfortunately all my football teams, um, suck. (At least there’s still hope for the Sooners to make a bowl. Whoo-hoo Independence Bowl! Party like it’s 1999!) And while Oklahoma State may have a worse record and be far more painful to watch, I do not have to watch them up here in the Northeast. No, I get the privilege of watching Vinny Testaverde (talk about party like it’s 1999) try to become the first NFL player to start the season on his couch and end it with a fumble total matching his age. Bring in the Brooks Bollinger era already! Or can we get Quincy Carter back?

OK, not funny. But here is my first ever Jets blog link, and it is. Also, in my defense, I did not search out Jets blogs. Deadspin had a list of them. (Although when they did the St. Louis Cardinals, I was already reading the whole list. What?)

It’s how much longer until basketball season? College basketball, I mean – because the Knicks will make the playoffs about the time I can finally afford that West Village apartment.
