2008-01-25 4:50 PM Me, the Newbie, and the Moveable Ballet Barre Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (0) Ballet was ...weird last night. It got off to a poor start when I caught my back on a locker door (it's very crowded in the dressing room on account of the horde of teenage tap dancers that get out of class right about the time everyone for the adult ballet and tap classes are trying to change). Then I didn't get to stand in my normal spot at the barre, but had to use one of the free standing barres in the center; I realize this sounds like an odd thing to be fussy about, but the ballet dancers out there will back me up on how disorienting this can be. So I was already off my game a little, but I would have eventually settled in as usual. Only the new spot put me directly perpendicular to a brand new newbie, and that's when things got kind of odd.
OK, at this point I got a little carried away with telling the story and drawing diagrams, and it got a little long for a blog entry, so I put up the rest of the story here. Enjoy your weekend! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
