Music: Utopia TV/Movie: Family Guy Link o' the Day: Megatokyo I've just finished adjusting 75 old black and white photos for inclusion in the upcoming Jane Kean book. Uf -dah. I'm going to be seeing these in my sleep. Some interesting photos, though. the Honeymooners gang, Lucille Ball, Jimmy Durante, Liberace, Marilyn Monroe, and so on. I've had a pretty productive past couple of days both in the freelance arena and in the writing arena. Plotting is coming along very well indeed. Some characterization. Some bits of dialogue here and there. I feel pretty good about the work happening. Now let's see if I can move out of the prewriting stage in a week and on to some serious writing. The weekend doth approach. I'm going to take tomorrow night off from work to spend some time with me Pretty Maggie. That's one drawback with freelancing at home. And being a writer is sort of a solitary thing. Fortunately Pretty Maggie understands that. But it will be good to take a night off and have a nice civilized dinner. * * * Torcon is fast approaching. I can't wait. I have to get to studying and poring over any program information that's available and start creating a schedule that covers every single minute of Torcon attendance... only to end up ignoring it and winging it most of the time. I already know about a couple of parties I'm attending, and a few other fan-related events. I'm going to do my best, this year, to avoid spending all my money in the hucksters room. Ah, but first things first. I need to buy my plane tickets. That's tomorrow's mission. * * * An observation on webjournals... some of the best ones are written by folks associated with webcomics. Go figure. I check out Penny Arcade's Tycho as regular as I do the comic. Another favorite, and today's link, is the site for Megatokyo featuring Piro's art, story, and writing along with writing and reviews from such online personalities as Largo, Dom, and Seraphim. Check it out. (And it's a bonus if you're a fan of gaming/shoujo/shonen comics.) Tired now. zzzzz. Need to put together some files, then off to bed. Cheers!
