I'm leaving for Torcon in about half an hour. Taking a shuttle to Logan (Boston), then Logan to Toronto, then some who-knows shuttle to the hotel. Bags packed. Bags under my eyes packed.. I hope I can sleep on the flight.

But it's gonna be a great time! I can't wait, and expect my energy levels will shoot up right quick once I'm underway.

Woohoo!

And while I'm woohoo'ing. Sleight of Hand #2 seems to be a bit of a success. According to my web stats, the download page has already been visited over 150 times, and nearly half those times, it's been a unique hit meaning that I've got over 70 new readers.

When you consider that the average circulation of a fanzine is around 70--that's not too shabby!

Thus far I've received two Letters of Comments (LoCs). One pointed out that I mistakenly credited Frank Robinson with the authorship of Sentinels From Space when, in fact--and I _knew_ this, dangit, it was Eric Frank Russell.

For those new readers out there... remember, A letter-of-comment is more than welcome, and may even be printed in issue #3.

While everyone else rushed out to get The Two Towers DVD set, I decided to wait before getting my own copy. Part of me says to wait until the next version comes out, but part of me is saying, "C'mon, you wuss. It's only $15!"

Well, we'll see. But I _did_ pick up the Animal House DVD release. Woot! Woot! This should be handed out to every child upon their birth. Trivia from the movie should be part of SAT tests. Drivers licenses should not be issued until the would-be driver can shout "Rammmmming speed!"

This movie is almost as fun as giving a neo-conservative a staunch beating.

Okay boys and girls... very tired still, so the link of the day is hardly going to be topical... regular readers know I go for fannish links many of the times. Tiday's link takes you to the Midamerican Fan Photo Archive run by Keith Stokes (who is one of my Torcon roomies). My galleries from MilPhil, Boskone, and Readercon are linked from here as well, and it's probably the best place to get day-by-day pics from the 61st World Science Fiction Convention.

Enjoy!
