Welcome to Wednesday!

Had a pretty good night last night. Me and Pretty Maggie spent some time together trying to outpsyche each other at Trivial Pursuit. I got about half of the text for the Spike Jones book finished, and I got some more of my Elvis murder story done, along with some help from Pretty Maggie in who to make the killer. (It’s a good ‘un!)

I just got a request for some freelance typesetting quotes from a start-up publisher in Spain. It sounds promising. We’ll have to see where it goes. I’ve never worked internationally before, so I wonder what sort of procedures there are for paying for services across borders.

Pretty busy day here at the office. Been running around since 6am. Looking forward to getting home, relaxing a little bit, doing some more work, watching some Captain Harlock, and getting dinner ready for Pretty Maggie’s return from work much later (pork chops, apple sauce, wild rice, biscuits... woot!)

I enjoy cooking, and like finding new things to make that fit within our budgetary and digestive limits. Later this week will be beef kabobs. Then barbecue chicken. Then maybe some steak ‘n eggs. If Pretty Maggie’s mother comes to visit this weekend, mayhaps I’ll make some roast pork loin with rosemary and garlic.

Salivate.

Short entry today. Back to work for me, but before I go... today’s link goes to an old standby--Efnazines.com, the one-stop place to get online editions of current (and ancient) fanzines. There have been a lot of updates lately, so it’s worth rummaging through.

Enjoy!
