Music: random bluegrass TV/Movie: Monk, season one Link o' the Day: trufen.net And we're down to one more day. I thinnk next year if I end up going to Glasgow, Pretty Maggie and I will plan on going early. It seems like there's some fun stuff that starts on Wednesday. Heck, if it weren't for the fact that I'm pinching some pennies, I'd probably arrive in Boston tomorrow at 6am. But it's a rare few who are up and about a con that early, so there'd be no point. As it stands, I should be arriving in mid-afternoon. I'll register first, then head straight to the dealers room to drop off some stuff at the SFWA table. Maybe take a quick gander about the room and see who all is there, then head up to the hotel room to meet roommates and prepare for the evening to come. This year they're holding a First Night style celebration in lieu of the more traditional opening ceremonies. Judging from the programming info at the Noreascon site it looks like there will be too much for any one person to experience in a single night. Later will be the semi-private Resnick reading at the RISFC suite, along w/ hula and belly dancing. (Yes, I fully intend to have another one of my galleries posted following the con.) I'm working on my packing list. Aside from a selection of colorful shirts, I've got loads of promo material to bring along and distribute. I wish I had a fanzine to bring along this year, but I'm going to have to make do with contributing to Noreascon's one-shot and hustling some articles for SoH #3. Still much prepping to do! Forward the foundation! * * * In keeping with fandom-related links, I give you trufen.net, a clearing house of fannish news, activity, interest, and discussion. Well worth viewing for the serious "tru"fan. Enjoy! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
