Music: Tom Waits TV/Movie: Venture Bros. Link o' the Day: Creative Screenwriting magazine podcast I've been operating on three hours of sleep and it is starting to catch up with me. Beenbag durble gurgle drop durp and all that implies. On the plus side, one of my big projects has been 98% put to bed, and the last two percent is a lot less frantic now. The other two-and-a-half projects are behind schedule, but I've talked with the parties involved and I think I can get caught up by Sunday and not suffer karoshi in the process. So it's looking good. And the weather is nice. We may even have the first Friday in nearly two months where it doesn't rain. -=-=-=-=-=- Wouldn't it be neat if we had tails? Animals use tails for balance--it being one of the reasons why animals seem to have such grace. And while swimming, it could be used for propulsion, or as a rudder. If we had monkey tails, it could almost like having three hands. How cool would that be? I could scratch myself in three places at once. Prehensile toes would be cool, too. More prehensile than they currently are. Like, feet with opposable big toes. (then it could be like having five hands. Imagine all the scratching one could get done. And laser vision. I went to an eye doctor a couple of years back on a simple consultation to see if I could be a candidate for laser eye surgery. I told the doctor during the exam, "Man, it would be cool if we could do this. I've always wanted to shoot lasers out of me eyes." He thought I was being serious. This bothered me on two levels: a.) was he that dumb, or b.) do I appear that dumb? Instead, I think he just didn't have the finely developed sense of humor I have honed over the years. Alas. I weep for such folk. All right, it's quite obvious from these previous paragraphs that I have no business writing anything until after I've had some sleep. but before I go... -=-=-=-=-=-=- Today's link brings you to the Creative Screenwriting magazine podcast. This is one of my favorite podcasts. It is both informative and entertaining. the editor of Creative Screenwriting magazine, Jeff Goldsmith, really does a great job interviewing screenwriters and other folk involved in the creative side of storytelling for the silver screen. Really. Check it out. It's the opposite of dull. It's undull. Cheers! --nhoJ Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
