Music: Billy Bragg TV/Movie: The Drew Carey Show season 1 DVD Link o' the Day: November 2008 issue of Ansible. Twas the night before...no, no, no. Not going there. I think it's pretty obvious which way it's going to go, and if it doesn't, cities will burn. My one request, people, is to not make my sacrifice in vain. That sounds kind of egotistical, but I'm surprisingly unapologetic. I'll be working the polls tomorrow from 6am to after 10pm. I want to come home to good news. Okay, I'm done. Where the hell's my coffee? Okay...got it. I uploaded a bunch of photos to facebook today, just for the hell of it. I had 'em, I scanned 'em, I put 'em up. I have others I want to put up--fellow facebookers I can tag, and over time I'll put up more. My facebook is pretty open, so anyone should be able to view the page. Just go to www.facebook.com and type in my name and the rest should be pretty self-explanatory. Here are some previews: Me 'n my banjo at Ward's pub Session at Ward's pub. The saddest drum kit in the world, my drummer days with Gothic Snowtire, circa 1988 or so. The gang of fearsome reprobates. Late 80s. A scene from my old apartment. 1999 or 2000 or so. A reunion picnic for the Rhode Island College Writing Center, circa 1990. Okay, I'm done. You've had enough, poor people. There are more at my facebook page if you're feeling masochistic and voyeuristic. I've got some good rants being stored up. And a couple of new reviews of movies and books. I'll probably miss posting tomorrow because of the election, but I'll try, try not to blow space on the election results. Oh, and stay tuned for news regarding something called Forces of Geekdom. I'll be maintaining a blog there and contributing an occasional column, as will comic book gadfly Chris Reilly, and others. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Today's link goes to the November 2008 issue of Ansible. It's a good ish, and archives are readily available, as are instructions for subscribing to the online edition. Cheers! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
