Music: Velvet Crush TV/Movie: Tapeheads Link o' the Day: The Official Site of Normon Rockwell Last night Pretty Maggie and I went out to meet some friends. We arrived a little early. While she had her knitting, I neglected to bring a book or anything. I grabbed a pen and some napkins and commenced doodling. Today's webjournal is my doodle. Welcome to my doodle. On the left are my favorite stick figures to draw. I call them "The Carrot Nose Brigade." Sharing the napkin is a doodle of a character I'm working a few little scrips for called "Li'l Merlin." On the right is a young man stating that "Life is soup." Sharing the space are two gnomes who live in trees on opposing hills. They hate each other. Hence the poorly drawn catapult. This is why I don't sleep at night. I got up this morning around 2:30 and decided I didn't really need to go back to bed yet, so I spent the wee hours working on formatting a book of plays for a client. Actually, the formatting was done the other day. This is more fine-tuning. Making sure there are no widows or orphans, that page breaks are clean, that sort of thing. Then later this morning it's on to some other book projects I have in the soup, and mayhaps this afternoon I'm going to work on a cranberry bread recipe I found that is dairy-free. If time permits, I may also make a pumpkin pie in preparation for tomorrow. Also, this way, if I screw it up--I can always make a last-minute run to the grocery story to try again. -=-=-=-=-=-=- Let's hope that today goes smoothly. Yesterday was a pain in the ass due to an unwelcome dramas that turned out to be much ado about nothing. I suppose the "silver lining" would be the opportunity said drama provided to catch up with some folks via phone. And talk with some folks I'd previously only communicated with online. So I guess it wasn't all bad. But jeez. Screwed up my afternoon. Next time, there had better be a body. -=-=-=-=-=-=- Okay, 'nuff said on that. On to today's link. Because I can be a real cynical little prick, and I'm in that sort of mood this morning, today's link goes to The Official Site of Normon Rockwell (dedicated to bringing you images of an America that never quite was, and thank god for that!) I can't help but be drawn to these images. They're like a spiritual car crash. Hokay, Back to work. Cheers! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
