Music: Motion City Soundtrack TV/Movie: Lost season 3 Link o' the Day: Quotes and Quotations from JPod at the Internet Duct Tape website Yes, later this week I'll be making announcements in regards to the previously hinted at Project X. Today, however, it's business as usual. No, I'm not trying to be a tease. I just have a respectable pile of work to get through today. Enough so I should really concentrate on that today. It's mostly prepping books for press and creating some PDFs for a client's online archive. I have to track down some people, do some phone time, some file management, some mail management, oh yeah.. some actual mailing, and some writing. I was hoping to sneak in starting Mass Effect today, but I really need a couple of free uninterrupted hours for that. Instead, if I get on the Xbox, it'll be to womp some big lizards for half an hour in Blue Dragon. Yes, I turned 42 this weekend. That sounds old, so why don't I feel old? I guess it's not so old after all. I'm still probably in better shape than I was 10 years ago when I was still drinking. Mind you, back then I was kind of approaching my saturation point. But 42 now ain't so bad. Still, the day was spent fairly quietly. After doing the morning chores and clearing away the latest dumping of snow from steps, walk and car, I lazed for a while. Pretty Maggie and I watched too many episodes of the third season of Lost, and we went out with friends of ours to one of my favorite local restaurants, Fire & Ice, a Mongolian barbecue kind of place. All in all, a very pleasant day. Let us pause to remember the significance of 42. It's a magic number. It's the Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything. And now it's back to work. -=-=-=-=- Yeah, Lost continues to piss me off. I'm totally addicted. Goddamn show. I can deal with the Others. That's not too far fetched. It even reminds me of another show set on an island somewhere (no...not Gilligan's!). The black smoke thing still irks me to no end. And that piece to the statue? And what about that guy in the camera with the xefkjatch who looked hgdmnje the hymela. Yeah. That. And Locke is still my favorite character. -=-=-=-=- I got to a bookstore this weekend. While I didn't find the books I as looking for, I did grab a few interesting tomes just the same. I'll probably end up reviewing them either here or at Forces of Geek. One book picked up was JPod by Douglas Coupland and it seems to have made quite a ripple. Today's link visits a page of Quotes and Quotations from JPod at the Internet Duct Tape website. If I hadn't already bought the book, I'd have immediately bought it after seeing this page. Cheers! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
