Music: music on BlueHighwaysTV TV/Movie: Henry Fool Link o' the Day: Reid Fleming: The World's Toughest Milkman Rumor has it...Cartoonist Dan Clowes's grandfather, Dan Clowes III--also a cartoonist, once developed a personal jet-pack and attempted to acquire venture capital by flying it in front of an office building. This inspired the "Innovators" cover to May 11, 2009 issue of The New Yorker Rumor has it...Comedian Drew Carey is the honorary president of the island nation of Togo. Rumor has it...Underneath the statue of Roger Williams at Prospect Park in Providence, Rhode Island lays buried a "reverse time capsule." It contains contents commemorating the millennium with instructions etched in the sides for it not to be opened until the year 1000 A.D. Rumor has it...the original cast of The Care Bears, as envisioned by the creators, were supposed to shoot magical rays from their eyes, not their stomachs, and they hunted humans for sport. Each episode would have featured a famous person from history having an ultimately fatal encounter with one of the Care Bears, but not before revealing an important lesson. Rumor has it...Every president of the United States, with the exception of James Garfield, has been somehow related to at least one other president and one member of the British royal family. In the case of the relation to the British royal family, that connection has always been the result of an illicit affair. Could be true. Why would I lie? -=-=-=-=- It's been a pretty good week, thus far. The Doris Day book proof is finished. Today I'm tackling the medical journal and opening up a new project file--a book on actress Beverly Washburn (Old Yeller among others). The Growing Up With Monsters book has been sent to the printer. Everything appears to be on schedule or better. We even got some real estate-related work taken care of this week. I'm going to be updating the TumbleTap webpage today as well. And getting the covers to Oz Squad finished while I'm at it. A good week thus far. I can work with that. -=-=-=-=- Today's link takes you to the webpage of one of my favorite old comic books from the 80s: Reid Fleming: The World's Toughest Milkman. Well, it's not just Reid's webpage, but that of creator David Boswell and Heartbreak Comics. Why the hell they haven't made a Reid Fleming movie yet is beyond me. Hey John C. Reilly...this one is for you. Or Mickey Rourke. I've heard rumor (real rumor) that Boswell has written some scripts. Call him, Hollywood. Can't be worse that Pluto Nash. Cheers!
