Link o' the Day: a fan page devoted to one Pee Wee Herman

A short entry today as yours truly overslept a little. I probably still got up earlier than most of humanity, but I like getting up ridiculously early to get ridiculous amounts of work done before the sun warms the Earth.

But it's been a fairly productive week. I just sent off some graphics for a webpage the authors of the Monsters book are putting together.

My schedule got a little thrown off due to a publishing schedule change. The Beverly Washburn book is still doing well, but I've taken a break from working the photos in order to finish up the Doris Day book which we're trying to get out in time for an event. Doris Day herself has approved the cover layout. The authors are working on some promotional things like TV appearances. They're gearing up to whirlwind the premier of this new edition. So time for me to make sure it gets done. (Actually, I finished most of the changes yesterday. Today is some photo shuffling and finishing up the back cover. We're way ahead of schedule.)

Then it's back to other projects. All coming along nicely.

Then I get to hunt up some more boxes for packing.

By the by, as I'm rambling here...we watched the season finale of Lost last night and I know I wasn't surprised by the ending. Not that it makes it any better, but still. Some questions possibly answered. More questions put forward. Some left ignored. And now we wait seven months before we get more confusing answers.

The writers of that show are brilliant.

Today's link visit's a fan page devoted to one Pee Wee Herman. I used to be very creeped out by Paul Reuben's character, but I'll admit that he's grown on my a little and I "get it" a bit more than I used to. I prefer the acts he did for adults more than children, but even his kids stuff has some very odd surreal Dada stuff in it. If you've not seen Pee Wee Herman in action for a while, give it another look and see if maybe it's not so bad.

As I said...short entry today. Tomorrow will feature the return of the mailbag!

Cheers!
