Music: random radio jazz TV/Movie: My Man Godfrey Link o' the Day: The Brittas Empire Weird night for sleeping--or the lack thereof. This happens a lot on Sunday nights for some reason--maybe because the sleep schedule gets put all out of whack on the weekends. Couple that with the excessive sleep I got Saturday while sweating out a fever, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Ah well. I'll survive. I think what disturbed me more than the inability to get decent sleep last night, was the parade of images marching through my brain. You see I finished reading the archives of Chris Baldwin's "Bruno" webcomic, and also spent a good part of the weekend viewing episodes of Star Trek: The Animated Series and somehow they merged into dreams of an odd existential, mopey crew of intergalactic explorers. Yeesh. But the fever broke and I bounced back. I got some good work done yesterday--mostly on getting the TumbleTap books ready. We even have new cover art for Rogue Satellite Attacks. And in looking over today's To Do list I have my work cut out for me today. It's not as bad as I thought it might be. I finished off last week in pretty good stead. I expect I'll hit all my main action items today, and even get a head start on tomorrow's work. All good. -=-=-=-=-=- Today's link visits a fan site devoted to a show that was long near and dear to me... the British sitcom The Brittas Empire. It ran for seven seasons--52 episodes--and starred Chris Barrie (of Red Dwarf fame). Gordon Brittas (Barrie) is the cheerfully oblivious, anal-retentive manager of the Whitbury Leisure Centre (kind of like a local YMCA kind of place). His crew all have some kind of odd quirk to them and it all adds up to amusing comedy. It's not one of the better-known Britcoms here in the US, but you can occasionally find it on public television. It's worth checking out. Cheers! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
