As in many American elections, the Russian presidential election was not much of a surprise.

But I did like this quote from The Moscow Times, reporting on a fire near the Kremlin Sunday night:

Hundreds of people -- many in a celebratory mood after taking part in Sunday's presidential election, which election officials had ordered to be treated like a holiday -- gathered on Manezh Square to watch the blaze. They cheered "Hurrah!" as each section of the building's roof collapsed with a loud crash.

Now maybe we can get back to business. I have an appointment with the pediatrician tomorrow afternoon to review Roman's medical information, show him the video of Roman coughing (bronchitis and wheezing), discuss antibiotics we can take with us, and have the last (hopefully) letter typed up and notarized, asking to waive the 10 days' waiting period.
