I just had to post this as food for thought. Without getting into my personal opinions about this comment, as a social studies teacher I would use this quote to generate discussion about American policies.

An interview with a civilian on the streets of Baghdad, on the handover of power from the Americans to the Iraqi council:

"Of course I am happy, but I am also fearful and melancholy. The American military should leave Iraq."

"America these days, is like death. Nobody can escape from it."
